Estonia’s foreign trade deficit decreased in July from a year ago, as exports grew faster than imports, figures from Statistics Estonia showed Monday.
The trade deficit dropped to EUR 137 million in July from EUR 186 million in the corresponding month last year. The shortfall also narrowed from EUR 158 million in June.
Both exports and imports expanded by 27.0 percent and 18.0 percent, respectively in July from last year.
Exports to EU countries advanced 12.0 percent annually in July and those to non-EU countries jumped by 64.0 percent.
